I have been searching for a man I met 25 years ago december 26,1987 at LALS and thanks to "home machinist forum" finally located him!His name is Jim Berryman.Check out my entry in the home machinist forum in the livesteam section.I would appreciate if you could let him know I would like to get in touch with him.I put pictures of the day I met him at LALS on the home machinist forum.I told him I wanted to build a locomotive and he told me that if I was going to build one I better learn how to run one.He took me and my wife out on the line and then pulled on a siding and instructed me how to operate his locomotive.I have never forgotten that day since! He also told me he had a son in the Air Force,as my wife and me were also at that time and stationed at Castle AFB,near Merced,Ca.I wish that I would have asked him his name that day,but I was so excited it slipped my mind.My wife and me live in longview, washington now.Sure hope I hear from Jim!

My name is David. I have a great intrest in Live Steam, and you guys have a very nice track, it not big, but I like it's simplicity. The members have very beautiful locomotives. I would love to come and visit your grounds and take a ride! I found out about your track through videos on YouTube. So thank you and Happy Steamin' -David

I am a Preschool Teacher for the City of Torrance Community Services Dept. I teach the Lollipop Tree Class for 3 year olds and assist with the Kinder Klass for 4 year olds at Walteria Park. All of our preschool classes were invited to come to Wilson Park and ride the train on Wednesday, 5/27, and Thursday, 5/28/09. This was my first time visiting the station. It was one of the best field trip experiences in almost 10 years that I have taken my class on. The train rides were wonderful and the story time was excellent. All of the volunteers were friendly and helpful. Everyone did a wonderful job of making sure that ALL of my kids were happy. They even took out another train for just one student to ride on to make sure she was happy. I will be sure to come back every year with my class. Thank you so much for such a fun experience!

I went by today and never even knew that this place existed. But somebody at the park told me that you can ride trains over there. I took a walk with my 3 yr old daughter and ran into Rudy. He was one of the nicest guys I had ever met. He asked us to come by next week on the 3rd Saturday for free rides for the public. So my daughter and I just decided to take a walk around the fence to see if we could see any trains, but Rudy came around and asked if we wanted to take a ride and of course I said yes. We rode the SanteFe train and he gave us a tour of the place. What an experience. I just wanted to say Thank You very much Rudy for the great time, we will definitely be back for more in the near future.
