The uncoupling lever is an option that can be added to any car or locomotive and tender. It keeps your fingers safely out of the coupler area when uncoupling trains.
 
To install the uncoupling lever 6 holes were drilled and tapped for the supplied 10-24 screws. The chain was 2 links too long so I cut off 2 links with a pair of bolt cutters. Shown is the uncoupling lever installed and unpainted.

You only need three tools in life - WD-40, Duct Tape, and a Hammer. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape. If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Looking good, looks like all you need now is a rivet gun.
