On run days the club provides the volunteers helping run the trains with a simple lunch. This is a big help as this way members don’t have to go off site to get lunch. Most of the time it’s a hotdog, chips, water, and cookies. Members take turns getting the hotdogs and setting up the cooker. Its not a big item to set up but it has not been a popular volunteer item to do. Thankfully Dave told me he has enjoyed setting it up and has done so quite a bit over last few years . Joann Smith runs the sovereign stand and always makes the cookies. A big thanks goes out to these two for making the run days a little easier for the crew of members that volunteer. |
