Eagle Scout Service Projects

Eagle Scout AwardThe Southern California Live Steamers is "Eagle Scout Friendly". We have been able to help a number of scouts with their Eagle Scout Service project at the SCLS facility. If you are finishing up your Eagle Scout requirements and still need to come up with your service project, give us a call. We have many project suggestions or you may have some ideas as well that would be good for our organization.

Open Projects:
Replace steps in front of clubhouse and add handicap ramp.
Install sprinklers and lay down sod between depot and red car.
Build structure and cover steaming bays with corrugated tin roof. (may be taken)
Build structure and cover eating area with corrugated tin / fiberglass roof. (may be taken)
Build structure and cover kitchen area with corrugated tin / fiberglass roof.
Install drip irrigation and plant 150 feet of bougainvillea along fence line in rear yard. (may be taken)
Install and paint split rail fence around parking area.
Install railroad tie retaining wall against birm across from kitchen and backfill with dirt. (may be taken)
Build 30 foot tunnel through the cut near the diamond and cover with dirt.
Obtain and plant 3 medium sized fruitless mulberry trees in line with current 3 along south side of facility.
Install SCLS supplied crossing gates around facility.
Build out birm for mountain division along inner loop to new tunnel crossing using railroad tie retaining wall.
