I took this photo and posted it on the Facebook page to let people know we were giving train rides on this day. It was raining till 10:15 AM in the morning and the train rides were scheduled to start at 11:00 AM. Some of the members had worked pretty hard over the last week to get the facility and tracks cleared. We had a very large amount of leaves and branches after several days of heavy rains and high winds. After running a train to safety test the tracks we were able to start giving train riders starting at 11:30 AM. It was still over cast for the first hour but then the sun came out and it was a nice day. In the past members have always proven that part of the fun at SCLS is to not give up easily and we try to maintain that model . |
