The man behind the cab is Mark Piper who was president of the Southern California Live Steamers 1952-1953.
The engine is now on display at the Lomita Railroad Museum. In this photo it appears that his engine the Yuton is disguised as the Jupiter for the 1969 Gold Spike Centennial celebration. The Yuton was built from Little Engines parts in 1956.
This photo was found on the Los Angeles Live Steamer web site by Charlie Giordano. |
