Rory remove the right hand turnout and is installing a left hand turnout. Tom Downing built the switch and it was originally use for a passing siding on the Crenshaw line by the baseball crossing. That siding became unnecessary when we finished the Crenshaw return track. By Rory doing this work it will remove a s turn coming out of the siding. It will also make both parking sidings a little longer. The right hand switch was installed by Wolf and Ted as it was laying around unused after being removed from the old Crenshaw crossover track by the red car, Tom Downing built that switch as well. When we realigned the parking sidings for the new figure 8 return track it was easier to use what we had on hand at the time. This should make for a smoother transition for the trains. |
