I took a trip on the Maine narrow gauge railroad in Portland, Maine. It was an enjoyable trip along the bay. The train is 2 foot gauge, the state of Maine is known for there historical and current 2 foot gauge railroad systems, at one time the state of Maine had a few hundred miles of 2’ gauge railroads. Two foot railroad are smaller and it was a cheaper way to have a railroad to access the rugged Maine territory. |
