This is the club owned diesel outline locomotive that’s painted for union Pacific Railroad. This unit was built by rail systems probably in the mid 1990s it has 22 hp vanguard Briggs & Stratton motor that runs a hydraulic pump. The Hydraulic system consist of the pump, a splitter valve for controlling it and then hydraulic motors one on each truck with chains that tie the two axles runs together. This is a very reliable system and common in miniature locomotives |
