Comments: This is 1.5 scale copy of a 40'rib sided car built by the Milwaukee road they built over 6500 of this type car in their shops.I built this car all out of MDOL plywood with a steel tub frame.I copied a HO scale car and used a few photos I had to try to get the detail right.alot of the stuff used to built this car came from srcap wood left over from jobs I worked on.I used spray can paint on this one but it did take a few tries to get the right brown,I worked alot with connie m on this one to get the lettering so it looked right, one side has Route of the Hiawathas slogan on it and the other side has Route of the Electrified Olympian that way you get two cars for the price of one.on this car I made it so when you turn the brake wheel on the end of the car a 1/4 turn the roof slowly flips open just like the tool box on my pick up truck used to do.

Another fine job, and again, great way to recycle.
I can't count how many times i had to load trucks headed for the nearest dump with hundreds of potential train projects. Bums me out everytime.
